This is not our fault but Fruit Menu's. Indeed the authors of Fruit Menu are expecting the active application to receive, discard and pass the events that they generate. Usually, this will work because the application would recognize that an event is not for itself. It cannot work with Smile because in Smile the user can implement whatever event he/she wants and implement a handler to handle it, so Smile is not filtering the events it receives.
