Restate the question, providing enough details so that people have an idea of what the problem is.

Don't be sarcastic in any follow-ups. I replied to him despite his sarcasm, not because of it. A little more sarcasm/hostility in his follow up would have resulted in no meaningful reply from me.

I have found several times that the only way to get an answer is to Summarize "no responses".

Maybe if you had taken more care in your original requests, you wouldn't have had to do that.
