wake up notification

This is probably old ground, but is there any way in OS X to detect when the computer wakes up?

The pmgtwake event doesn't seem to work anymore for a stay open script application. Is there some way the system notifies each process that it has awakened? So far, I haven't gotten much joy out of the documentation. I'm assuming that an OSAX would be required, since there is nothing indicated in AppleScript itself.

Thanks for any pointers,

Don
