Actually, the NetworkOsax aren't used unless you are logged in over the network, which you are not if you are sitting at the machine. In this case I believe to come in over the network requires you to use netinfo to have your home directory on a remote machine and then you'll get that remote machine's network scripting additions, not your machine's.

But I've never actually tried any of that, so I don't *really* know.
