when you enter the main directory, click the Go button on the lower right hand corner.

a file viewer will open showing the subdirectories of the directory you entered.

at the upper right hand corner of the file viewer is a space to enter the filename you are looking for (it says Search underneath). enter the filename (or partial name) and press return

OK, I get this far, I have the usr directory open.

use the Search in the file viewer window to search all subdirectories.

What's the file viewer window and where is the Search in it?

Note: use caution in clicking on the icons, some are unix shortcuts
which will cause problems (loops) if you click them. But you can look.
