Not being an applescript guru can you give me a basic example? Yes, they
are all jpg files though I will later also want to do the same with TIFF
files. The File Info I am placing into each image is extensive, not just
the comments field. I am placing information in all fields of the General
tab and all fields of the Origin tab except for Headline and Transmission
Reference.
Many thanks,
Kelvin.

I have a script that takes information from a
Filemaker database and places in in the File
Info section of an image. I am having difficulties
with making an image into a reference for saving
later. The problem part of the script is:
tell application "Photoshop.0"
Any suggestions?
Why not just insert the info into the image file as text and not use photoshop at all. I mean, you are on a UNIX. Are you doing Jpegs? Open it in a text editor manually, and modify comments, see if that works for you. The data can slap right in there. If so, why open the image data in photoshop at all? Just an idea... HTH
