(REANNOUNCE) Missing Link...
(Some among you may recall similar announcements... and some may be leery
of still another in the same vein... but be that as it may...)
A new demo of Missing Link has now been posted at:
http://www.mhtc.net/~bunnz/scriptlink.html
I would _greatly_ appreciate it if any one of you (or two... or three...
or more) would give Missing Link a try. I would welcome comments, bug
reports and suggestions.
A standard descriptive blurb follows the dashed line below.
The idea that drove the effort was to create a pseudo GUI for accessing
often used items... but I humbly propose that there may be other uses for
ML as well.
Thanks Very Much.

-----
Missing Link is a simple AppleScript utility that allows you to open, run
or launch almost anything local on your Mac from a link or a bookmark in
a browser.
Files, folders, applications, script applications, and a variety of other
file types can be linked on disk. The link format is very similar to a
web link... but when clicked, linked items behave just as if they had
been double-clicked in the Finder.
Though some browsers already have this ability , Missing Link provides a
reliable, nearly universal means to link to local files and other items.
Security issues should be nil. Unless the linked item exists on _your
own_ drive or disk (in the specifically linked location), Missing Link
will simply quit without error.
Missing Link works with most browsers on almost every version of the Mac
OS from 7.5.x to 10.2.x.
