As the original poster of the question, I just wanted to thank Craig
for the helpful information he provided. Here's what I've learned about
the mail pics
If you have a .mac account, there's a preference (I'm not sure where)
to automatically include your pic; I think anyone with Mail.app can
then see these
If you do not have a .mac account, you can follow the instruction in
the link that Craig provided
<
http://www.macosxhints.com/
article.php?story=20030404044213438&query=Mail+picture>
and put in your friend's pictures. Then, when they send you an email,
Mail.app will recognize that their email address has a corresponding
photo and will show that photo in the email.
If you don't have a .mac account, there's no way for others to see
your pic unless they already have it in their /Images/People folder
(unless you're using the software provided here
(<
http://www.nikwest.de/Software/>) which I couldn't get to work right
anyways!)
Also, there appears to be a way by using an X-Image-Url, like the one
that Michelle has
X-Image-Url:
http://members.cox.net/michelle10042002/email@hidden
however, I am unable to see her pic in her email, so I'm not sure how
that works.
Anyways, thanks to all for their help!
