Michelle's massage didn't strike me that way. It seemed to me that she was wondering why it worked at all with what the log showed as 'file (file...', and why docpath, which 'choose file' says is a file, can't be passed to the Finder by itself without generating a stack overflow. At least, they strike me as two good questions, regardless of the state of the code.
