First off, I know I'm terribly behind in my digests. I'm hoping to fix
that today and/or tomorrow. I apologize in advance for regurgitating
this thread back to life and for doing it after everyone else got tired
of it. No need to reprimand me for this, I've donned my flameproof suit
and I'm dropping this topic immediately.
Secondly, I would have been able to refrain from this "lynching"
entirely, but this particular submission had me laughing for a few
minutes. Hopefully I won't offend John when I tell him that I have
stolen one of his sig files ("if you can read this you're
overeducated") and if this wasn't my business email I would steal this
one too!
Thirdly, Michelle has been such a helpful contributor to this list that
I can't believe anyone is lynching her for expressing her personal
opinion in sig files. I guess someone is getting bored and needed
something to do. Hang in there Michelle, the bozo's always get bored
and move on fairly quickly. The people who matter recognize your
intelligence and diligence and take your sigs as they see fit (never by
taking offense).
If I found myself truly offended by something someone else posted on
this (or any) list, I think I would take it up with the OP directly and
not start a flame fest on the list for it. But that's just me ... (I
claim as I contribute volatile fuels to the fire)
Consider me offended by people being offended over a statement in a sig
file. That's something worthy of offense! If she had used foul language
that would be a different story, but that isn't the case here. You may
disagree with her views or agree with them, but to be offended by them
is silly to the extreme.
Time for me to go smoke a .sig ... ;-)
