That's it. Had you said, "I find any licensing other than the honor
system
unacceptable", I wouldn't have bothered.
They could have come up with a less onerous method, but they chose what
was easiest for them without consideration or regard for their
customers.
For instance, they could have tied the registration key to the
customer's name or other identifying data.
