So my question is, how do I activate a window in FileMaker Pro (6.0 v1)?

Why bother bringing it to the front?

Because there's a bug in FileMaker Pro 6. If you have two database files open you can't simply address one of them and expect it to work. FileMaker Pro 6 uses the frontmost one as the target even if you explicitly put the other database in the tell statement. Big annoyance. Requires a work around if you want to have more than one open at a time.
