It depends...

Scenario:
Files are being copied to an fileserver, a script shall move those files to
another location but first after copy stage.

What file systems are involved? Mac OS Extended or Standard? UFS, NTFS...?
How are they being copied? How are they being moved? Finder? Unix shell?

All of these things are factors which affect file type/creator.
