At 11:33p -0500 12/14/2003, Jim Witte didst inscribe upon an
electronic papyrus:
<somewhat foul mood activate - you have been warned></>
I just noticed that the title of the page
http://www.apple.com/applescript/mail/
is "Scriptable Applications: Safari", not Mail, as it should be. I
also noticed that the main Applescript Applications page
(http://www.apple.com/applescript/apps/) is not accessible in the
least - no alt tags for the graphics, no text links, etc.
Where can I submit stuff like this - bugreporter doesn't have a
category for "Web Site"
Well I think Wayne Brissette is the webmaster. I'm sure he would fix
the first problem. As to accessibility by "any browser" -- well,
that's a hard sell. I complained for a long time about the
inaccessibility of the knowledgebase (and argued back and forth about
the importance of such) before the situation improved.
98% of all web sites suck. Including Apple's.
The only part of Apple's site which never sucked was Sal Soghoian's
AppleScript pages for Mac OS 8, because he ignored Apple's sucky
templates. Of course those pages are long since gone.
::sigh:: Those of us who care about (and "get" the Web) are a rare breed. :/
