It is not possible. The thinking is that eventually, it will be possible; it is a feature that has not yet been implemented, although a decade has passed since the advent of Applescript.

About three years ago I tried to cajole Tom into putting support for multiple TIDs into Tex-Edit, but so far I haven't seen it show up. It could be useful in a number of instances.
