If one DOES decide to white list one's address, one should first understand
the site's privacy policy. In some cases, jumping through the hoop gives
permission to share your email address with "partners"...in others it only
gives permission for the spam control site to advertise their product in
spam to you. And some are OK.
My inclination is to ignore this stuff except for rich uncles (and I've
unfortunately run out of rich uncles). Or other people I actually want to
reach. Certainly not a mailing list member and a mailing list message.
