Question Printing bleed and clip bleed and overprint settings

  • Subject: Question Printing bleed and clip bleed and overprint settings

First I want to say that I'am using QuarkXpress 5.01 and Mac OS 9.2.1

For controlling the bleed in quark I'am using custom bleeds setup

tell custom bleeds setup 1
set bleed to P_bleed as number (setting I'am getting from configuration
file of hotfolder)
set bleed type to symmetric
set bleed clipping to true
end tell

All the pages have bleed but aren't clipped at the bleed size and aren't
symmetric, it always uses the page items.

If I disable the custom bleed extention and tell the print setup to set the
bleed, I'am getting the same result

I also have and problem that overprint settings of every printed page are
ignored. (black text doesn't overprint, grayscale schadows that are set to
overprint don't overprint)
