Unfortunately I get a digest of the messages, so it's not a simple matter
of filtering out off-topic msgs or those with signatures (signatures by
their nature are off topic and almost always personal opinions). I'd much
rather the list etiquette strongly discourage adding signatures to posts
because they are off topic. And if the list continues to allow them then
it's endorsing off topic posts.
