Mount volume problems

Hello All,

A script I've been using for years to download files off remote servers is
now breaking on the mount volume command. The servers are ones outside our
subnet while ones inside still work.I was having this problem running on OS
9.2.1 so I upgraded to 9.2.2 with AppleScript 1.8.3 to no avail. The syntax
I'm using is the standard:

mount volume "afp://username:password@servername/volumename/"

I can mount the volumes by going thru the chooser with the IP address no
problem. They come up mounted via AFP via TCP/IP so I know it's turned on.
Also, I can mount them with the same script from a machine running OS X!
The only thing I can think has changed is perhaps the network; they've been
reconfiguring and adding a log of switches to implement VOIP. But it seems
strange that if would mount via the same protocol thru the chooser.

Thanks,

John J.
