one can declare
a particular mail account to mailing lists,
Mail.app can do that too, if one wants to use separate accounts for
lists and another account for personal mail. That, of course, means
that one will need a reply-to address in each outgoing mail so private
replies to lists will go to the personal-mail address. I do not see a
need for this just to satisfy the whims of a few people in one

set the app to "reply using

That would change the behavior for all lists; I see no valid reason to
change the behavior for all lists just to suit the whims of a few
people in one particular list.
I suppose some of Emailer's niceties have finally made it to
other mailers (although I'm still amazed most don't, for example even
Mail still insists on telling the user who's the sender of each
outgoing
message, duh, but not what account it went through.
Huh? I do not follow what you mean here.
What's so hard about
merging outgoing "To" and incoming "From" columns that only Claris did
it?)
I never understood why we did that in the first place.
