Larry,
Those users are not logged onto your machine. They have access to
folders on your machine which are mounted as shares on their machines.
File Sharing is different from User Login.
At least, that is my understanding.

I just came into the office to try it and all I get is the user that
logged on to start the machine.
My result is:
do shell script "who"
set mylogins to result
mylogins
-->> scriptse console Dec 22 16:27
"Scriptse" is the Mac running the script and the date displayed is the
last boot date.
This is an iMac running 10.3.2 sharing its "Public" folder.
At the time of running the shell script, there was one PowerBook
running 10.3.2 and one powerBook running OS9.1 logged onto the shared
folder. Neither of these
show up.
