Copying the data!

Hi,
I am stuck in a script and hope that somebody will help me.
I want to write a applescript in OS 9 that is attached to a network
drive, and the moment there is no entry (Application, file,etc) in the
network drive that will automatically copy those files to my system.
It is easy to do in OS X as can write a daemon but not sure how to
proceed in OS 9.
Can anyone make me write this script.
