If it only were that simple man. I have the copies of the same exact

What exactly is the problem? Yes, you'll see a previous version there,
even
after you've deleted it. So what? Since both paths now go to the same
app,
any time you call the application by its name or by its path, the call
will
be answered by the current version occupying that path. So what
exactly is
your problem?
Ok, if I were to load a script that has tell block for one of these
applications
that are listed twice. The next time through that call, the script
does not know
which one to pick even after I specify what application to use, even
though
they are the same. I was able to fix it by finding all the duplicates
in that list,
stuff each application, and throw out the original. This was tedious,
but
solved the problem.
Damn! :)
You seem to be getting all excited over nothing. If you really want to
get
rid of these, do a clean (archived) reinstall of the OS, and don't
save your
user preferences when offered.
I will not be doing that because is a workaround. I would like to fix
it by finding
this database or list is being kept. I understand it is being updated
on the fly.
