I would swear the script below worked before it was trashed by running amok and being compressed. I've had to rebuild it from scratch.

open selection with application file "GZipper"

This is no correct syntax as far as I know.
I know "application file id theId" where theId is the 4-characters creator type of the application.


To get the application file id:


info for (choose file)
-- select GZipper
-- in the displayed info in your SE,
-- copy the 4 chars that come after 'file creator:'


Now the statement

open selection with application file id "----" -- put there the 4 chars code

--> no more scratch ;-)
