OK, I've found that if I move the script to any other folder all works OK,
but running it from its current location doesn't. Create a new folder within
the current folder and it works OK, moving it to its parent folder works OK.
Just some bizarre permissions error. The error dialogs were pretty
misleading, though.
I've booted from CD and fixed the permissions, but still get the same error.
Bollocks.
