I do this in filemaker by having two calculation fields as well as the
date field. It's non applescript, so I'll explain off list.

I tried that but I was not successful so for now I will try Bens

As for what I'm trying to do; well we have this solution where we
change the color of a datefield depending on its status, red = alert,
green = ok etc. This worked just fine under OS9, but it seames to be a
problem using OSX.

What are you trying to do exactly?
It would be easier to do the same thing via a script inside filemaker
which you called using the "do script" function.

I'm doing this under OS9 and FMpro 5.5 in order to switch color on a
cell and it gives me no problem...
do menu menu item 35 of menu 6 of menu 6
...but when doing the same under OSX 10.2.3 and FMpro 5.5 then it
returns an error, why?
I'm just guessing here, but, is there a problem with the events in
5.5? Does an upgrade of FMpro to 6 solve this problem?
