http://www.apple.com/applescript/guidebook/sbrt/pgs/sbrt.12.htm is an example of using AppleScript as a CGI. I tried it, and it doesn't work for me. I turned on CGI execution, and other CGIs work. The error message is from Apache, and looking in the Apache error log (/private/var/log/httpd/error_log) I find this each time I test the example (or my own) AS CGI:

INIT_Processeses(), could not establish the default connection to the WindowServer.[Mon Feb 10 14:49:19 2003] [error] [client 172.21.254.3] Premature end of script headers: >> /Library/WebServer/Documents/test.cgi

Anyone have any idea what's going on here or how to get around it?

I don't have the server edition but I think the facility is called 'acgi enabler'. So search for that and see whether or not you have to use the extension ".acgi".
