Using applescript to back up to iDisk

Ladies and Gents,

I just found out from Aladdin Systems that their Drop Stuff utilities aren't
applescriptable.

So perhaps someone here can give me a hand.

I am wanting to mount my iDisk

Compress a DB file

And copy that file with replace to my iDisk and then unmount the disk.

And I want to make this into a little applescript App and launch it with
Cronnix.

Is this possible. Where might I go for tips on how to get started.

I already can mount the iDisk, but am stumped when it comes to compressing
the file using applescript.
