Hmm. I'd be glad to contribute, if it would help. I've been trying to
organize useful chunks of code I've written about dealing with
web-form-posting and other net-related scripting at
<
http://www.danshockley.com>. I think it's a great idea, and I'll try
to write up some stuff on things I know if we've got somewhere to
post it. I think it's a good idea to let other edit and update
scripts. We'd want to allow people to show alternate ways to do
things without making it too confusing, I guess. Sometimes the
commentary makes it harder to see simplicity. I love the examples
here where someone writes in the simplest case. then, someone else
points out that the first solution will break if something slightly
un-common occurs. Eventually, a handler has been written that solves
the problem, and accounts for lots of potential problems.

What I'm speaking about is just an idea. If I want to know something
deep and dark and rare about Applescript. I don' t look for
documentation. That would be pointless and foolish. I come here. This
list's members are the best source of information about AppleScript on
the planet. But it's not very accessible. Some of the members of this
list work and eat and sleep when they could be answering questions!
... What I suggest is that someone (TBD) operate a geeklog* powered
AppleScript site that functions as a way of making documentation and
discussion available continuously.
