I had thought of that too. Here's a circuitous explanation of I think that's
not the issue. I don't want the user to have to deal with any dialogs from
PS so I have the script copy the hi-res to the lo-res folder, open it, do a
script that resizes and saves (as opposed to save as which needs user
interaction), then it moves the hi-res to the hi-res folder. All of this
happens before Quark activates. I am watching as this happens and the files
get opened, resaved then moved so I'm pretty certain that the PS work is
done. The crashes ALWAYS occur when Quark is saving the new file. The image
has been imported, sized to fit the image box, text boxes created and
formatted, etc.
I could be wrong however. I don't have a problem upgrading to PS 7, but I'm
not sure if my client will (could turn coal into diamonds, if you know what
I mean). Would it be prudent to put a delay in between the PS and QXP
subroutines?
