Well, it happened when I tried to run the script that had been recorded. I
don't use VB for anything else, so calling it a coincidence is stretching
coincidentality a bit, I think.

Reinstalling isn't an option - it's a company machine and they own the
keys, plus I don't want to lose all the other settings that I have.
Stupid, really, because it worked fine a few other times, so it's not as if
the scripting environment has disappeared or anything. I can still record
scripts using SE from Word, and when run from there it does what's wanted.
So I'm really not keen to reinstall anything, since it all seems to be
there as it is.
Is Microsoft's answer to *every* problem to reinstall lock, stock and barrel?
