I want to get the raw AE codes/data that is sent to a certain

If you have Smile, its "tell ..." feature does that. Under OS9 search Smile help for "portability". Under OSX open Smile help and click "The 'Scripting' menu".

Smile is the cool editor for AppleScript which is free, URL:
<http://www.satimage-software.com/en/soft9.html> (OS9)
<http://www.satimage-software.com/en/softx.html> (OSX)
