I want to get the raw AE codes/data that is sent to a certain application. I seem to remember that there was some way of doing this using the console but I can't find how to do it. Does anyone have a reference to where I can find more info about this?

If you have Smile, its "tell ..." feature does that. Under OS9 search Smile help for "portability". Under OSX open Smile help and click "The 'Scripting' menu".

Smile is the cool editor for AppleScript which is free, URL:
