Well, I thought perhaps you were right, but no.
In my original:
tell application "FileMaker Pro" to ,
go to record ID (ID of (create new record))
everything defaults to currently front db and current layout. I didn't
think that that would solve it, but I hoped so...oh, how I hoped.
However, I now notice that with either my version or yours, _only_ when
Entourage is the front-most application, the double record creation happens
every other time, not every time as it was previously. (Memory problems
somewhere? Other corruption?)
This is really p*ss*ng me off. Isn't it odd that the problem occurs with
only one application, since the script is executing via OSA Menu?
Of course, everytime I put any Entourage scripts in the OSA Menu items
folder created for Entourage, Entourage crashes when I execute _any_ script,
from either its own scripts folder or from the OSA Menu Entourage Scripts
folder. (I've never been able to use OSA Menu for Entourage scripts.)
This isn't the same case, however, as this is in the Universal Scripts
folder and just happens to cause problems when E2001 is in front.

Perhaps I'll turn to the Entourage-Talk list to see if anyone has any
suggestions.
