I originally posted regarding a FileMaker Script that called an AppleScript and then appeared to lock up when the AppleScript called another FileMaker script.

I am not seeing the behaviour that Ehsan Saffari noted. It appears to me that FileMaker waits for the outcome of the AppleScript before proceeding and not in a multi-threaded fashion.

Anyway, my solution was to run the AppleScript via a keyboard macro from QuicKeys and then the problem goes away.
