I noticed an interesting place where AS assigned the value Missing value to an item in a list.
I ran the line:

tell application "Finder" to get physical size of every file of desktop

It returned a list of values that looked something like: 1.6384E+4
except that one item had instead: Missing Value

I checked and sure enough I had an empty folder amongst the clutter on my desktop. When I deleted it and ran the script again, that value was gone.
