Barcode problem

Hi Experts,

I have a problem with an Applescript which should create a barcode number.

Using Barcode 9 and Filemaker Pro 6 I have a 10 digit ISBN which is used to create the barcode however:

the script line is:

set ISBN1 to cell "HB SBN NO CHECK DIGIT" of current record of database thedatabase

I display the new number in a dialog to check it.

when used with most numbers the 10 digit number is usually cut to 9 digits and is used fine by barcode, however the number in question returns an 8 digit number with two numbers chopped off the end???

I am not sure what NO CHECK DIGIT actually does (I presume it chops off the trailing digit, cos thats what it does on this system)

Any ideas???
