Microsoft Word - bringing a window to the front....

  • Subject: Microsoft Word - bringing a window to the front....

Microsoft Word has the annoying habit (actually it has many, but I'm just complaining about one right now) of asking you if you want to revert to the previous version if you open a file that is already open in a window.

I have written a script that scans the open windows to see if the file being opened is already open with the intention of bringing that window to the front.

However, I can't find a method to bring a Word window to the frontmost position.

Does anyone know how to do this (I've tried "tell window x to active" and it doesn't seem to do anything, I've tried changing the bounds of the window, but this doesn't do it either).

Any suggestions would be welcome.
