I would expect it so, but it doesn't work:

I think i hate dictionary entries which says "anything". I think i vote that

"Example(s)" becomes a standard entry in AppleScript dictionarys!
'anything' just means that the _syntax_ does not limit the definition to
particular AppleScript classes. It doesn't mean it will actually import a
pair of old socks, for example. I agree with you that AppleScript
dictionaries are generally too sparse. And they have never included
examples. Entourage's dictionary is not a particularly bad one in this
regard, in fact it's rather typical. For a _bad_ one at definitions, go take
a look at Excel.
Anyway, Dan Crevier, who implements AppleScript for Entourage and much else,
has explained that he does hope eventually to include much more under the
'import' rubric. At this particular moment, all that it imports is .mbox
files. There have already been requests for .vcs and .ics files too.
It would be nice if AppleScript 2.0 were to require and provide opportunity
for better definitions, with examples. The Visual Basic Editor for MS Word
and Excel provides an excellent demonstration of what could be done. (In
fact, that's how to find out, again for the time being, what those Excel
AppleScript definitions really mean. since there is always a corresponding
VB definition.)
