yes it works, the same script works in previous versions too, the same
script can be used for inserting image references as well, its is almost
exactly the same example script given in the FMP Apple Events Reference
db.

I suggest creating a file from scratch, with just the one container field
and trying the script there. Maybe the field in your current db is set to
disallow modifications or something to do with access privileges or your
other field options.

I get this error if the cell where I try to insert the movie is not a
container type.
