Nice... but then, just imagine if this level of event notification were also to exist in the *object model*, not just the GUI. With every object attachable as standard. (You get little bitty tastes of the potential with things like Folder Actions and get irritated when iCal doesn't let you specify a script file in its event inspector, but really that's nothing.) Commands provide one-way communication from script to application, which is nice, but imagine that compared to what you could achieve when messages are going both ways. Later, when you've picked yourself up off the floor, consider filing a feature request to Apple on it.;)
