malcom,

thank you very much for your help. but things over here are a little bit
worse: we have a mixed network with macs and wins.

therefore we're planningto access the fm-db with web-companion. :-|

There's nothing stopping you from running a script that operates on a
specific machine or from sending instructions to a specific machine.

... so this will not work for us, or am i missing something?
