Thanks for your suggestions. I'm looking at it, and still can't
figure out what's wrong with mine. My assumption is that maybe this
is a bug in FMP, since I can insert the file manually but not through
AppleScript. I'll keep working on it.

You'll see some of the errors I made. The main ones were: not
having the field name in quotes, and not having a layout with the
field in it up front.
