I wholeheartedly agree with Jon's synopsis of Script Debugger's worth.
To get an idea of how the explorer works, check out
http://www.latenightsw.com/sd3.0/app_palettes.html
Which shows building a script by selecting options in the explorer palette.
You see the palette update dynamically as the target of your script changes,
and you can drag objects and properties from the palette into your script.
Worth every $
