Script Editor 2.0 Services problem

  • Subject: Script Editor 2.0 Services problem

One of the cool features of Script Editor 2.0 is that it offers services through the Services menu.

However, I have a problem. If I use the Make New Applescript service without previously opening Script Editor 2.0, it launches Classic mode and starts the OS 9 Script Editor, and all this without the highlighted text I wish to make into a script.

The OS 9 script editor is on a separate partition of my HD (I sometimes need to boot up in OS 9), and I do not wish to delete it.

Perhaps I need to 'rebuild my desktop'. To do this in OS 10.1.x, the received wisdom was to delete the files LSApplications, LSClaimtedTypes, LSSchemes and their backups, but these files do not seem to be there at all on 10.2.6

I would be grateful for any help.
