Not familiar with MetaCard. What does all this mean?
It means a lot, as will become clear at MacWorld (or whatever they call
it) next week.
MetaCard is the genesis of Revolution. It was started about twelve
years ago on Unix, and came to Windows and then Macintosh. Revolution
was originally based on MetaCard's underlying engine. Then Revolution
took on a significant portion of the engine development. Now Revolution
has bought MetaCard out, becoming the master of their own destiny, so
to speak. The consequences of that are many, but the first big changes
that will result will be announced next week.
