The best/ easiest thing to do, is to use Carbon Copy Cloner. Check out
http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html for information. It works
great and is Mac OS X native. I dont know how scriptable it is though
:-)

Hello Folks!
I have created a DiskCopy image containing OS 10.2.6 using a firewire
external drive also running OS 10.2.6. Imagescan was successful on
this
image. When I put the image via ASR onto my target computer (which is
the identical model as the source computer) it seems to restore just
fine. But, when I reboot, I only get an Apple in the middle of the
screen and no spinning pinwheel as if the computer froze at that step.
I've checked my source computer and it works fine.
At one workshop or another I was told to do something to a check box
for
ownership permissions and think this is the problem, however when I get
info on the hard drive to access the ownership permissions, this check
box is now missing.
ACK! What do I need to do to make this image restore properly? Thanks
for any suggestions!
