Very slow applescript execution on QuarkXPress 5 and 6

Hello all,

Is there anyone who could find a way to improve the execution of scripts
under QuarkXPress 5 and 6.

Same scripts are running incredibly faster under v 3.3x and 4.11, but
incredibly slowly on 5.01 and 6...
