Context: found my iMac hadn't run the housekeeping scripts at all despite

Decided to write an Applescript to run the scripts for the 'fun' of it.
"/private/etc/daily" runs fine but however I try to run
"/private/etc/weekly" I get a "NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4" error.

Don't you just hate it when people don't answer your question but offer a superior solution instead? If you want to run your maintenance scripts, sleep or no sleep, I have the perfect utility for you. You'll need to do a little command lining to get it installed, but it's really easy. It has worked flawlessly for me in the year since I wrote it, it's extensible, and it's free!
