Greetings Applescript users!

Can anyone tell me how Eudora knows a folder contains unread mail? With Mac Os 9, it used a label, but how does it do it while X.2.6 is running?

I'm trying to adapt an old manuscript that could open all of the unread mailboxes in one click. It said:

set unread to every file in entire contents of mailfolder whose label index is 1

Now I couldn't find any documentation on this subject. Maybe I'm not good at reading applications' dictionary...

Thanks
